Concrete and Veterans

What an amazing day! God came through again. As you know we are beginning the framing of the Carriage House, well there is no way I could have accomplished this feat by myself. The poles were 4×6 – 10, 16, 20 feet tall. Moving them was difficult enough but trying to lift them into the holes, level them, position them, fill with concrete and then tap would have been impossible.

Well, two great Veteran men and a spouse, Bennie, Jim and Diane, came over and worked like Spartans of times past. Lift here, push there, level-level-level, fill-fill-fill, and the walls began to go up. Oh by the way, note to self, double check the number of bags of concrete. We only had enough for half so I had to order 48 more bags. We could have been stuck but Big John’s store from town came through.

We all worked hard and ended up finishing just after 2100 or for nonmilitary that is 9PM. I am sure tired and sore but it is all worth it. Thank you Bennie, Jim and Diane for all your work and sore muscles as well.
