A Christmas Blessing

Christmas is a time for family, for friends, and for counting our many blessings. Peace Mountain Ranch has so much to be thankful for this year. In 2023 we saw our herd of horses grow from one to six, we saw the Carriage House get closer to completion. We held our first open house, we had our first dinner fundraiser, and we saw many people volunteer to help make Peace Mountain Ranch a place of hope and healing. You – our supporters, volunteers, prayer partners, financial partners, and Veterans – you have blessed us beyond measure this year and made it possible to touch so many lives this year. So, we would like to pray a blessing over you this Christmas.

Heavenly Father,

May You bless all who call us friend during this Christmas season:

May each one be filled with wonder like Mary; a wonder that led her to treasure in her heart all that God had done. (Luke 2:19 “But Mary treasured up all these things, pondering them in her heart.”)

May each one be obedient, like Joseph, who did not question the message presented by the angel in his dream, but who steadfastly obeyed the call of God in the face of public ridicule and the demands of traditions. (Matthew 1:24 “When Joseph woke from sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded him”)

May each one be as joyful as the angels, who announced the birth of Christ to the shepherds in the field. Angels who sang the first carol, declaring the goodness of God. (Luke 2:13 “And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God”)

May each one be as filled with wonder as the shepherds, who immediately left their flocks, forsaking all other duties in order to seek out the child heralded by the angels, who then returned to the fields glorifying and praising God. (Luke 2:15-16 “When the angels went away from them into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, ‘Let us go over to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has made known to us.’ And they went with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby lying in a manger.”)

May each one be as dedicated as the Wise Men, who left behind all they knew to follow the signs the Lord had given them. Who disregarded the potential dangers and traveled afar to find the Christ child and give him gifts. (Matthew 2:1-2 “Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the east came to Jerusalem, saying, ‘Where is he who has been born king of the Jews? For we saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.’”)

May each one be filled with the peace of Christ. A peace that passes all understanding and leads to a deeper, more meaningful relationship with God. (Philippians 4:7 – And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.)

May each one be blessed by today and every day.

Amen
