Windows And One Door Are In

Good morning All, the Carriage House build is at the stage where big jumps are taking shape. Doing the soffits was not my favorite but know things are moving quicker. Today I will put one more door in (the 2nd of three), frame around the doors and windows so we are ready for the building wrap and siding and then put the roof edging on along with the ridge cap. It really will not be long and we will start putting siding on.

One of the major lessons I have learned in this build is don’t rush each step. I can say in the beginning, I had a game plan in my head and was applying some elevated expectation but when I just excepted that it is going to take as long as it is, my heart rate goes down and I can focus better on what task is in front of me. I also would make less mistakes. I still struggle not getting in a hurry but I am taking each day better.

I think a good blog, some time in the near future, will be to share my lessons noted and learned. That should be interesting!!
