The Carriage House is Ready!

After over two years of volunteer help, lots of blood and sweat, and thousands of donations both big and small, the Carriage House is ready for its debut! Like any big project, the Carriage House has, at times, seemed more like a dream, but now that dream is becoming a reality.

Peace Mountain Ranch exists solely to provide a place for Veterans who need a place to find peace. Veterans, especially combat Veterans who have seen the horrors of war, often find themselves in a constant state of turmoil. Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Post Traumatic Stress (PTS/PTSD), Moral Injury, depression, anxiety, and mental health issues are but a few of the challenges that haunt many Veterans. Sometimes they just need a place to get away from the stressors in their lives for a few hours or days. A place of peace and healing. Now, Peace Mountain Ranch has an apartment like setting where Veterans can stay for a few days, long enough to reset and find a new path, one that leads to hope, healing, and peace.

The apartment, which we call the Carriage House, is fully Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant, complete with a roll-in/roll-out shower with multiple shower heads, wide doorways, wheelchair accessible clothes washer and dryer and more. The main room has a kitchen along one wall, a large table, comfortable chairs and a large screen TV. This multiuse are supports dining together to develop a deeper comradeship, chairs for counseling, and the TV supports presentations for individuals or groups.

We are so excited to announce an Open House to showcase the Carriage House on April 12, 2025. This come-and-go event will be from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. We will have refreshments, door prizes, and will be available to answer any questions you have about Peace Mountain Ranch and our vision for the future.

None of this would have been possible without supporters like you. However, due to Hurricane Helene and the damage it did in the area, local support has been challenged. In order to complete the Carriage House for the 2025 season, Peace Mountain Ranch took out some debt to complete the project. We are in desperate need of $40,000 to retire the debt so that our operating funds can be spent on Veterans. In addition to retiring the debt on the Carriage House, PMR needs to raise operating funds to care for Veterans. Toward these ends PMR is having a raffle for .22 caliber rifle with a scope. Contact us at peacemtnranch@gmail.com for tickets, tickets will also be available at the door. The drawing will take place around 4:00 pm the day of the Open House but you do not need to be present to win. Additionally, we are looking at having a few items for a silent auction during the Open House. Watch our FaceBook page for more information.

Are you someone who wants to help Veterans? PMR wouldn’t exist without the love and support of people like you. We simply ask that you pray for us and consider supporting us financially so that we can continue to help Veterans. To give please visit our donation page.
